  • Covered the ever-evolving arts and culture scene in Boston while humanizing the radio and digital stories without cliches.
  • Covered the Massachusetts Fiscal Year 2020 Budget in order to inform readers about the increase in funds for the Massachusetts Cultural Council in a way that was clear and easy to understand.
  • Spoke with senators and representatives about the Fiscal Year 2020 Massachusetts Budget to better understand the language used in the amendments to the budget.
  • Wrote and tracked breaking news spots on a same-day deadline while also writing an accompanying digital story with in-depth coverage of the news.

Reporter, The Daily Democrat | Woodland, CA

  • Covered various beats including crime, courts, county government, human interest,
    food and agriculture.
  • Provided daily coverage of the double homicide of two Yolo County teens who went
    missing in October and November of 2016 and the murder trials that followed.
  • Produced and uploaded videos to social media, including YouTube, narrated Facebook Live events, and shot photographs to upload photo galleries that were posted to the newspaper’s Instagram and website.
  • Covered Yolo County’s burgeoning cannabis industry during the first year of legalization of recreational marijuana, including county supervisors’ decisions leading up the opening of the first dispensary.
